Director's Cut — Privacy Policy
Director's Cut is an app for iPad and Mac made by BR Studios LLP ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. In short: your scripts, notes and production material stay with you. We do not collect them, see them, sell them or share them.
What the app stores
Everything you create or import in Director's Cut — scripts, drafts, comments, handwritten annotations, shot lists, schedules, boards, photos and reference files — is stored on your device.
If you turn on iCloud sync (when available), the same information is kept in your own private iCloud account so it appears on your other devices. Apple stores it under your Apple ID; BR Studios cannot access it.
What we collect
- We do not collect personal information through the app.
- The app contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party tracking.
- We do not sell or share any data with anyone.
Files you choose to share
When you export or share something from the app (for example a shot list as a PDF or spreadsheet, or a backup), it goes only where you send it, using your device's standard share and save options.
Camera, photos and Apple Pencil
If you add photos or images to a project, the app uses them only within that project on your device. Handwriting made with Apple Pencil is stored with your project in the same way.
Children
Director's Cut is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Deleting your information
You can delete any project inside the app. Deleting the app removes the information stored on that device; information in your iCloud account can be managed from your device's iCloud settings.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
