About

Ars Longa, Vita Brevis.

Life is short. Art lives forever.

Great stories outlive the people who tell them. They transcend generations, find new audiences and leave something behind long after the credits roll.

It is this belief that lies at the heart of BR Studios.

Founded by Renu Ravi Chopra, daughter-in-law of legendary filmmaker B.R. Chopra and wife of director Ravi Chopra, BR Studios carries forward a legacy deeply woven into the history of Indian cinema. Built on a belief in the power of storytelling, the studio has continued to evolve, embracing new voices, fresh perspectives and changing audiences.

Over the years, BR Studios has collaborated with some of the industry's most celebrated talents, including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan and Karan Johar. Its films span genres, sensibilities and worlds, reflecting a belief that compelling stories can take many forms.

From the shifting truths of the noir thriller Ittefaq to the warmth and wit of small-town India in Bareilly Ki Barfi, and the tangled relationships and humour of Pati Patni Aur Woh and Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, the studio's films are as varied as the audiences they reach. At their heart is a shared instinct for memorable characters, engaging narratives and entertainment that resonates.

Now in its third generation, BR Studios continues to look forward, guided by the same passion for storytelling that inspired its beginnings. As cinema evolves, so does the studio's approach to the stories it tells, always seeking new ideas, different perspectives and fresh ways to connect with audiences.

The stories will change. The voices will change. But the belief in the enduring power of cinema remains.
